You can visit Prešeren Square, Triple Bridge, Ljubljana Castle, Dragon Bridge, Congress Square and the Town Hall. One of the best thing to do in the afternoon or dinner time is a great walk along the famous Ljubljanica river. There are so many really nice restaurants and bars along both sides of the river, that you have plenty to choose from – (sleep in Ljubljana)

Day 2: Visit Lake Bled and Bled Castle in the morning, just 40 mins drive north of Ljubljana for then in the afternoon, visit the beautiful Postojna Cave and the nearby Predjama Castle – (sleep in Ljubljana)

Day 3: Start you day driving to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, around one hour and half from Ljubljana. The city is divided into three parts: Gornji grad (Upper Town) which contains the Presidential Palace, the iconic St Mark’s Church, the Croatian parliament, museums and galleries. The 19th century Donji grad (Lower Town) with its shops, restaurants, cafes, theatres and parks; and the modern area of Novi Zagreb (new Zagreb) which is full of high-rise buildings and basically has little to offer for visitors – (sleep in Zagreb)

Day 4: Visit of the stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park, for a full tour of the Park you will need around 4 hours. Here you have two options, you could spend the night around this area or either start heading towards your next stop Zadar and spend the night there – (sleep in Zadar)

Day 5: Zadar sightseeing – Explore Zadar’s Historic Center, listen to Sea Organ, enjoy the Sun Salutation light show – (sleep in Zadar)

Some cool tips you should know about Croatia and Slovenia

01.

Visit the Lake Bohinj

If you have time, a visit to the Lake Bohinj needs to be done, is located just 30 minutes away from the more popular Lake Bled. It's one of the largest lakes in Slovenia. The views of the St. John the Baptist Church and the stone bridge are beautiful and you could paddle boarding or kayaking on the lake.

02.

Listen to the Sea Organ in Zadar is a must

A sound made by the waves of the sea, it's not something that you see very often. When you listen to this sound overlooking the sea is so relaxing and magical.

03.

Best time to visit Croatia & Slovenia

The best time of the year to visit Croatia is between end of May and September, when the weather is warm and sunny. But if you are not looking for a summer time beach holiday, you can definitely go in Spring and Autumn when the prices are more affordable, the sea is warm enough to swim in and there are much less people around.
